Important Announcement – Plans For Redevelopment 2017

TBS FrontAs you know, we have been developing plans to improve or replace our school buildings for some time now. Our vision is that our students are educated in the highest quality fit-for-purpose school buildings, with excellent facilities and equipment, at the centre of our local community. Over the last eighteen months, the Directors of The Federation Trust have been working with a range of partners to move this vision forward, including architects, planning authorities, commercial organisations and representatives from local government. We have also been in consultation with community groups in our local area.

OFSTED - April 2015

You will be aware that an Ofsted inspection of The Bramcote School took place in April 2015.  The report is now available, below and on the OFSTED website.

Although the report describes us as ‘a quickly improving school’, the overall judgement is that the school is judged to be a Category 3 – Requiring Improvement.  The main reasons for this are historic weaknesses in certain areas, particularly Maths and some inconsistencies in teaching, leadership and the way that behaviour policies are applied.  We are obviously disappointed with the overall picture, however we are encouraged by the recognition that we are on the right track and improving.  The report makes several key points:

They ensure that communication across the Federation is open, efficient and flows both ways. Directors know the Federation well, and use their knowledge to strike a skilful balance between challenge and support.
